What is it all about? How could one know? The key word is ambiguity but it's rather a collision of old and new and very-very new like not feeling anything (funny Stan with his most funny question :D)

Another crucial point is learning courtesy :D I wonder what it could feel like taking regular classes... Just think of substitutional polite request drills! :D

Funny they.... No, unlikely there's any sense in sparing so much effort and time. Deal, we won't. - Good boy!

OK, done with that. What's next?

Personally, I'd go for clamming up - totally, I mean...well, almost totally :D fb can be used for PM only, if time. LI proved to be of little value since it has everything in bits and pieces but I believe it has been sorted out already. IP is still nagging - it might well be the matter of settings though. (will have to see to it asap)

The most looming though is Dip, precisely working out the best approach to it. Could it be just another block I don't really need? Very possible, yet it doesn't seem right to drop out now. If so, darling, could you possibly allocate some fixed time to take care of it? (learning courtesy - remember? ;) ) I'll try, honestly, I will... (what about practising willpower? - I said, I will :) )

Hip-hop, signed, sealed & delivered. Lock, stock & barrel.

On this positive note, allow me to kiss you good-night :)

Heal Thyself

Surprisingly, the best remedy for a headache was simply hair washing. Not for long though.
Ironically, the best cure for depression is coming to terms with thyself, in other words beginning to love thyself. Could it be for long?

Envious of those who can take a sick-leave... Hm, there are some positive features in regular employment.

@темы: the bane of my life

To start writing about how dreadful things are is absolutely hateful. No. Even if they are.

Today, in class:
- What's the opposite of 'successful'?
- 'Loser'...
- Nope. Only 'unsuccessful'.

Civilisation of total, unquestionable success... How come 'ambitious' got positive connotation? I grew up to believe it was derived from 'abnormal' and by contrast, 'loser' had something to do with 'laser' - extremely modern and advanced :D happy-go-lucky childhood...

What's the word for somebody who's got sick and tired of today's ambitious society and successfully (!) managed to avoid success? ;)
Right, you got it - 'loser' :D

Start luvin' it, to be honest...

Awful, splitting, throbbing headaches...almost unbearable... hush! ain't you still in the land of the living? surprisingly, innit? ;)

ILEC

Curiosity is the very basis of education and if you tell me that curiosity killed the cat, I say only the cat died nobly.
The very idea of ILEC seems very close to what I've been looking for - could it simply be it? It also struck me that that was the style I was originally taught, so it might be starting again from square one in a way, but in a rather cheerful way methinks. On the other hand, all I can say is 'scary-scary' and it's not so much the level that frightens my but rather the environment as such and the possible outcome in the first place.

Hush... Considering possibilities for failure would not contribute to the success. Nor would it boost confidence, to say the least about not being a pleasant pastime. So, simply stop it! :) It would definitely be of more significance to start off with what could and should be done to get the whole project up and running. The weakest link seems to be the apparent shortage of relaxed and natural utterances, which in the long run will boil down to the so familiar lack of self-confidence and proper breathing pattern. Another point I can do with is enough sleep - should be working more seriously in this direction next week.

As for the failure... I will survive the damage from LL, I'd think :) and it was really the icing of the cake to have a laugh at that monster I happened to bump into today - that was something :D and probably the most positive humming of today was 'never ever shall you see me'. ;)

On a more serious note, it's high time I started doing something serious and worthy in this life... Fingers crossed, I will :)

Cheers all and good night :)

It hurts to think I might never visit Essex again...

And it doesn't help to admit that He is the same everywhere. Of course, you don't have to go overseas to speak to Him because He is everywhere and, more importantly, willing to accept you... Only, what happened in Essex was a real miracle... and it hurts to think I might not see a miracle again... No, it simply can't be it...

It hurts to think I can forget the Staircase ... be it not...

Too cold here...

Just like Bilbo I am feeling I am getting thinner and somewhat watery, only I don't have the ring... The ring... to me, it implied a bizarre mixture of unlimited super power and personal responsibility - the onerous burden that would eventually sap the bearer of their life.... Pure fiction, was it not?

I might need some rest - a good sleep and a bit more fresh air... hard to believe that could help... could be...

Interestingly, it happened right after the life-changing decision had been made... Not that I mind it, simply curious to know if there's still time....

Getting thinner and lighter in a way... Is it how they become enlightened?...Feels tingly, dizzy, wobbly - pretty much funny in a word... kinda disappearing...

upd.

Interestingly, 'thinner' in this case was used to imply smth opposite to 'thicker'... I don't know why it never occurred to me that it could be the opposite of 'fatter' (hm & hehe)

Other possibilities to consider:

fade away - only after the ultimate end :(, in the Progressive aspect might imply the process of dying out as such;

waste away - only as the opposite to 'put on some weight' and 'become stronger', usually due to some illness;

peter out - mostly about an activity or a path/road;

fizzle out - pretty much the same as 'and then there was none' or simply 'nothing was left' and 'end in tears';

end up - when 'the end' is not a borderline between life and non-existence, usually with quite a negative connotation.

ps. So far so good :) will wait till the next update to see how it goes :)

Soo lazy....too lazy to start with a title even... and tired, totally knackered... and happy, almost... kinda coming to terms with my other self, enjoying peace and self-confidence, at last... doing philosophy... as an activity? Well, I'd rather it's a state... anyway, quite agreeable...
One thing, only one thing's still nagging me sapping me... 3 weeks now... how to forget? Unbearable, agrh...

For a change, have been feeling good... simply fantastic lately... might not be back from the antiquity yet :) Rome was overwhelming, likewise Lanciano and Loreto... Bari welcomed with so familiar, home-like hospitality... and there was Amalfi, a fairy-tale small sea town with an unforgettable aroma...
Wasn't that a true miracle?

a short period of relaxation and contemplation... serenity...

Someone wise once said 'To err is human' and it is.

You can tear me to pieces, but no native speaker, regardless the language, is exempt from any sorts of language errors. 'Inaccuracies' come in all shapes and sizes and are particularly noticeable in informal conversations where immediate reaction, spontaneous decisions and constantly changing content override the norm. Higher levels of education could seemingly protect from such misfortunes, but ironically it applies more to speaking in L2 with a well-developed self-control and is almost always at the expense of speed.

My tutor, the best tutor of all time, once said 'Whatever a native speaker utters is never a mistake because this is how language evolves'. It could have been said to reassure my peers but it also inspired certain interest into the nature of language errors.

What confuses me is if such fault-finding really is a professional hallmark of a teacher.

that's what all the fuss was about:

ps curious to see if I will be banned :facepalm3:

Surely, to err is human but not to make a complete hash of everything one has been doing. It reminds me of the once popular "Knock On Wood" and it might be a good idea to see it this way.... Yet, there's more than that...

Surprisingly, It has nothing to do with any lack of knowledge or poor skills, it looks more like going blind/deaf/numb for a short while... I should rather think a person who is capable of committing a series of blunders and then correcting themselves within just a few seconds is anything but mediocre.

Hm, it flatters to consider oneself something extraordinary but what actually lies behind it? How come knowing - and, mind! using it spontaneously - the correct something (word, phrase, number, fact, etc), someone will go astray every now and then? What might be going wrong in this head? And, I am pretty much sure it's not totally unique...

Could it be worthwhile to choose this topic for further research? It'll definitely lead to NLP... and might be a bit too hard to crack with all those blunders in mind..hm...

The single beep of an incoming email nearly caused a mental breakdown. Feeble, with trembling hands and weak at the knees, reached for the mobile... who's the sender... almost blacking out, started to read the email...

Totally ruined and incapable of writing a reply... feeling sick... is there any chance to recover sanity?..

It must be the most disgusting weather we have been having these days that triggered the feeling of uncertainty and insecurity, but it doesn't really help to understand the reason... What made things even worse were those butterflies that made me ponder on how helpless and vulnerable humans are, well, some humans at least...

I've long been curious to know if other people could see the same colours and smell the same scents in the same manner... Is there anything apart from pure biology that makes us similar enough to relate to one species? If so, could we be equally racked with the same pain - this cramping, nagging pain that would never soothe... Nor would it ever stop - you know it for sure - no matter how hard you try to manage or mask it... At first, on bright, sunny days you might feel relieved or even healed blissfully unaware of it hiding in the dark, murky corners of your mind. When it hits you again and again blocking out the whole world, you'll eventually come to understanding that it's going to sweep you away and it's only the matter of time but not your endurance... Then it'll strike you that, in fact, you've lost in the first place - no hope, no future... Nothing's awaiting you - only your pain, throbbing, numbing, agonizing... till the very end and beyond...

Being left crippled for life by a few nonchalant words, how easy it is to grasp what lies behind "the living will envy the dead..." Will be sinking into music :wolf:
