‎Someone wrote "The path to peace is paved with knowledge and understanding"

- likewise the path to war. Knowledge in itself is just a collection of data which can be used for any purpose. Understanding is a nice word, warm and comfortable the only problem with which is that it is utterly subjective . How could you be sure that you understand me the way I want to be understood? As well as the other way round. Also, where can we draw the line between understanding and misunderstanding, especially when it comes to different cultures, languages, religions? And, more importantly, who is to judge?

As a linguist, I'll go for 'sharing'. Historically, sharing has always made people closer introducing forgiveness at a certain stage. Interestingly, each side can contribute different things into the relationship depending on what they value more, however willingness and acceptance are absolutely crucial here. Christmas dreams...

All that above in no way rejects learning or knowing. Only, it would be fair to admit that pure knowledge as well as personal understanding can do literary nothing if not radically affected by acceptance, patience and care.

Surprisingly, I got to like this place...was missing it, honestly))) No wonder why, though...

A man is a sociable animal, they say...To a fair extent, I'd add...

A wide range of networking sites provide a vast amount of various communities... The only problem that someone yearning for a society might face is that of finding the right one in terms of their interests, hobbies, leisure activities and the like. True, it can present a real challenge and more often than not is quite time consuming. Yet, what matters here is the result and when this sociable nuisance eventually finds themselves happily settled in they begin to crave for loneliness. Pretty funny, very much so...

Not willing to waste time on deep thinking - in my case it is notoriously prone to bring in sore headaches (hehe) - I just want to be thankful (to Whom?) for this extremely beneficial opportunity to stay away from others...Love it! At times

Hm, it just struck me that probably I should include writing into here as a compulsory activity, say, on Fridays...sort of summing up... Brilliant idea!

The whole thing started with this dreadful autumn disorder, although I am not sure if it really stems from the lack of sunshine. However, not being able to find any remedy to sooth the pain I set off shopping as it is a general truth that new pens, stylish note-books and colourful clips are the best sources of inspiration. What explicitly stated my poor condition was the fact that in the Underground I got lost...three times... It happened in the city centre which I knew like the back of my palm. The helplessness that seized me then was fairly obnoxious. It also struck me that my brain cells must have been all died out long ago and what had been left was engaged elsewhere out of this world.

When I eventually managed to get to the shop I was so drained out that could not even focused on the stationery. It took me about a dozen of note-books to recover consciousness. However, the natural liveliness and creativity were disclosed at pens. My, they were beautiful, exactly...Light purple and pale magenta to match, dark brown and merry orange... As for the note-books, I was definite to manage without penny-pinching. The decision proved to be sensible. By the time I was ready to go upstairs to fetch a couple of books I was merely dancing. What I got wrong was declining the idea of purchasing The M&M, it must have been well worth buying it to feel how it it could be perceived in English. Better luck next time!

Even though it turned out to be pretty costly and time consuming, even though I was desperately late for the evening lesson, it was worth it. The serenity of mind is much more precious than somewhat 5000 R.

Off to reading, writing and entertaining

As a matter of fact, I've done with my writing for today, that's for sure... That's the record to be beaten... Five letters! Five letters consisting of more that a hundred words each, three of them are definitely longer that three hundred and fifty, which is exactly the CPE level, ah How nice! Apart from writing for pleasure (I wonder if I may put it this way), 2 resumes and a Skype session with a profound lesson plan. Honestly, it was good and it has worked.

Among other news which has also added to the sense of achievement was a phone invite to discuss possible collaborative plans. Admittedly, the general idea seems extremely attractive. It is all about creating on-line lessons/ or blocks of lessons on different topics. The money promised is rather decent, by the way. Be that as it may, time will show.

What I am particularly interested in is the opportunity to work for that language school, albeit fairly little. Unlikely it could work, still it won't hurt to to enjoy this pipe dream for a while as one of quite few pick-me-ups. I might go mad otherwise.
