I wouldn't share his euphoric feelings towards the project as it never appeals to me to learn a foreign language through translating it into one's native one, yet admittedly it might be helpful to students of other learning styles.

However, what I like about the project is the following:

lots of authentic listening (lectures, youtube videos, songs) with scripts
my favourite thefreedictionary.com as a possible resource to look up for a word
... and apparently nothing else so far

Well, nothing is perfect under the Sun... and yet...

While listening to 'The Civil War and Reconstruction Era' lecture I came across the way Thomas Jefferson's described the people of the North and the Southerners in 1780:

"Northerners are cool, sober, laborious, persevering, independent, jealous of their own liberties, chicaning, superstitious, and hypocritical in their religion." Take that Yankees.

"But Southerners, they are fiery, voluptuous, indolent, unsteady, independent, zealous of their own liberties, but trampling on those of others, generous, candid and without attachments or pretensions to any religion but that of their own heart."

Yeah... that's exactly what most Southerners are ... indolent... unsteady... zealous of their own liberties and trampling on those of others... lol :cow:
